Last season, the Seahawks streak of 4 straight division titles was ended due to a rash of injurys (including 10 injured receivers, their starting Quarterback, and the entire starting offensive line). This year, they are trying to take back the division, and week one was a big help.
Matt Hasselbeck returned to pro-bowl form, and Julius Jones ran for over 100 yards as the Seahawks dominated the St.Louis Rams, 28-0. Meanwhile, the defending NFC West champs, the Arizona Cardinals, lost to the San-Fransisco 49ers. Sure, the Rams could compete with the Lions for the worst team in the NFL, but the Seahawks were missing two of their starting offensive line, and big play receiver Deion Branch.

The Lions losing streak continued, reaching
18 games, while losing to the New Orleans Saints, 45-27. Rookie QB Matthew Stafford, who the Lions are relying on to turn them into a playoff contender, threw zero touchdowns and three interceptions as the Saints QB Drew Brees threw 6 TD passes in just over 3 quarters.

Peterson, led his team to a 31-20 victory with his 198 total yards and TD's, including a 64 yard run to seal the victory.
Oh yah, Eagles QB Donavan McNabb broke his rib and may miss next week's showdown vs. the Saints. Also, Bears QB Jay Cutler and Panthers QB Jake Delhomme played horribly last night, each throwing 4 interceptions in their teams losses.
